Hot Tub Removal in Ocala, FL

An unused hot tub takes up the best part of a patio, and it is not something two people can carry off. We handle the whole removal: drain it, break it down as needed, get it out, and haul it away.

How the removal works

We drain the tub, disconnect it from the electrical supply at the disconnect box, and assess the exit route. If the tub can be walked out whole, we do that. When a lanai screen, a fence gate or a narrow side yard blocks the way, we cut the shell into sections on site and carry it out piece by piece — which is usually less disruptive than taking down your screen enclosure.

Everything leaves with us: the shell, the cabinet skirting, the cover, the cover lifter, the steps and the equipment pack.

Common situations in Marion County

Most of our hot tub jobs are one of three things: a tub that stopped working and was never repaired, a house being sold where a buyer does not want it, or a new owner who inherited a spa nobody uses. Screened lanais and pool cages are common here, and we plan for them.

Electrical

Hot tubs run on a dedicated 240-volt circuit. We disconnect at the spa panel to remove the tub safely. If you want the circuit and disconnect box properly removed or capped afterwards, that is licensed electrician work and we will tell you so rather than pretending otherwise.

What is left behind

You are left with the pad or deck the tub sat on. If the deck framing needs to come out too, we can handle that as light demolition on the same visit.

FAQ

Hot Tub Removal questions

Do you have to cut it up?

Only if it will not fit out. Where we can walk a tub out whole, we do. Cutting is often the least invasive option when a screen enclosure or narrow gate is in the way.

Do I need to drain it first?

No, we take care of draining. If you can drain it in advance it saves a little time on site.

Can you remove the deck around it?

Yes. Deck framing and skirting around a spa can come out as light demolition in the same visit.
