Light Demolition in Ocala, FL
Light demolition is the step between junk removal and a general contractor: things that have to come apart before they can be hauled. We do the tear-out and take the debris with us, so you are not left with a pile in the driveway.
What we demolish
- Wood decks, docks, boardwalks and pergolas
- Fences: wood, chain link, vinyl and farm fencing
- Sheds, carports, awnings and screen enclosures
- Interior tear-outs: cabinets, countertops, vanities, flooring, non-structural partitions
- Above-ground pools and spa decks
- Small concrete slabs, walkways and pavers
- Mobile home skirting, steps and add-on rooms
Where we stop
We do not touch anything structural or load-bearing, and we do not do work requiring an engineer, a demolition permit, or a licensed trade to disconnect gas, alter electrical rough-in or reroute plumbing. If your project needs any of that, we will tell you plainly and stick to the part we can do properly. Suspected asbestos-containing material also has to be handled by a licensed abatement contractor, not by us.
Clean tear-out matters
Careful demolition saves money later. We protect the surfaces that stay, cut fasteners rather than tearing through finishes where we can, and keep dust down inside a house. What is left is a clean surface for the next trade.
Debris included
The price includes hauling everything away. That is the difference between us and hiring a demolition day: you do not end up with a mountain of decking on the lawn waiting for someone else to deal with.
FAQ
Light Demolition questions
Do I need a permit?
Small accessory demolition often does not, but decks, pools and larger structures can. Marion County and the City of Ocala have different thresholds — check with the permitting office and we will schedule around it.
Do you remove load-bearing walls?
No. Structural work needs a licensed contractor and usually an engineer. We handle non-structural tear-outs.
Is hauling the debris included?
Yes. Demolition and disposal are quoted together, so nothing is left behind.
